Congratulations to Anita Murphy, district superintendent of Capital Region BOCES, who has been selected as the recipient of NSPRA's 2022 Bob Grossman Leadership in School Communications Award!
Four candidates are running uncontested for the Executive Boards positions that are up for election in 2022.
As we continue to reflect on and process the incredibly tragic and senseless school shooting that left 21 people dead at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, earlier this week, a stoic truth remains: As school communicators, we know this could happen in any of our communities.
Today the National School Public Relations Association is pleased to recognize the inaugural School Communicators Day. Last July, the NSPRA Executive Board unanimously voted to officially recognize School Communicators Day on the second Friday in May beginning in 2022.
Jared Cotton, Ed.D., superintendent of Chesapeake (Va.) Public Schools, has been selected as the recipient of the 2022 Communication Technology Award for Superintendents. The award, presented by NSPRA in partnership with Blackboard, recognizes one district leader annually for leadership in redefining, upgrading and integrating cutting-edge communication technology to improve and expand outreach and engagement with internal and external education stakeholders.
