National Seminar Scholarships Armistead New Professional Seminar Scholarship

The annual Armistead New Professional Seminar Scholarship package is administered by the Foundation and was made possible by the generous sponsorship of Lew and Joan Armistead. Lew Armistead, APR, is an NSPRA past president (1986-87). This scholarship is offered for the specific purpose of supporting the professional development of an NSPRA member new to school public relations. The scholarship covers the cost of registration to both a Pre-Seminar Workshop and the NSPRA National Seminar. To be eligible for application candidates must:

• Hold membership as a professional-level or professional partner in NSPRA;
• Have never attended an NSPRA National Seminar;
• Have worked in school public relations three years or less; and
• Be employed in a full-time position with a school district or educational agency/association and spend at least 50% of their time on communication-related responsibilities.
