NSPRA Foundation Seminar Scholarship

Each year, the Foundation offers two scholarships to individuals who are new to school public relations with the intention of expanding their knowledge of the profession and introducing them to the benefits of NSPRA membership. One of the two scholarships is designated for a school PR practitioner who is a member of an underrepresented population. Each scholarship covers a registration to the NSPRA National Seminar and an additional $250 stipend for reimbursement of expenses related to Seminar travel, lodging and meals. (Reimbursement will be based on submission of receipts and does not apply to alcoholic beverages.)

To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must:

  • Have worked in school public relations less than three years;
  • Have never attended an NSPRA National Seminar;
  • Be employed in a full-time professional school public relations position;
  • Be a member in good standing of an NSPRA state/regional chapter (unless there is no chapter in the member’s state); and
  • Have not yet registered for the current year’s National Seminar (current registrations cannot be replaced by scholarships).

NSPRA membership is not required to qualify for eligibility.

The deadline to apply was February 2, 2024. Winners are expected to be announced in April. Those who applied for scholarships will be notified about their statuses via email.
