Dawn K. McDowell Memorial Scholarship

The deadline to apply for all scholarships was Monday, Feb. 9. Applicants will be notified of their selection status by April. Applicants may register for the NSPRA 2026 National Seminar before selection notification. If selected for a scholarship, recipients will be refunded for registration fees as applicable to their award.

This scholarship is administered by the Foundation and was made possible by the generous donations of family, NSPRA colleagues and the Minnesota School Public Relations Association (MinnSPRA) in memory of NSPRA past-president Dawn K. McDowell. The scholarship covers the cost of a registration to the NSPRA National Seminar.

To be eligible for application candidates must:

Have never attended an NSPRA National Seminar;
Be employed in a full-time professional school public relations position; and
Be a member in good standing of an NSPRA state/regional chapter (unless there is no chapter in the member’s state/region).
