2020 Call for Candidates for NSPRA Executive Board Office

NSPRA’s Executive Board Search Committee (EBSC) is currently seeking candidates for each NSPRA Executive Board office that will become available in October 2020.

Those offices are as follows:

  • President-elect
  • North Central Region Vice President (IL, IA, MN, NE, ND, SD, WI, Manitoba, Northwestern ON)
  • South Central Region Vice President (AR, KS, LA, Mo, OK, TX)
  • Vice President for Diversity Engagement

Members from Illinois and Oklahoma are ineligible to run this year for the open offices for regional vice president, according to association bylaws. The state restriction does not apply to candidates for president-elect or vice president of diversity engagement.

To be eligible for consideration as a candidate for an elected office with NSPRA, members must:

  • Have maintained a professional membership (individual or institutional professional membership package I, II) for the past five consecutive years,
  • Be a member of their state NSPRA chapter if one exists and
  • Have attended at least three of the last five National Seminars.

NSPRA members who wish to be considered as candidates:

The election will be held in August, and successful candidates will assume office in October. Should candidates for office run uncontested, no election will be held and the candidate will be affirmed by acclamation of the Executive Board at the Annual Meeting and Celebration of Achievement during the NSPRA 2020 National Seminar on Sunday, July 12.
