Each year, the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education funds and administers a number of scholarships for individuals to attend the NSPRA National Seminar. Congratulations to the 12 recipients selected to receive one of the 2025 Seminar scholarships!
Ryan Hale, Communications Manager, Creighton School District, Buckeye, Ariz., has been named the recipient of the 2025 Armistead New Professional Scholarship. This scholarship provides a registration to both the National Seminar and a pre-Seminar workshop and is made possible by the personal sponsorship of NSPRA Past President Lew Armistead, APR, and his wife Joan.
Samantha Nasso, Director of Public Relations Harborfields Central School District, Greenlawn, N.Y., has been named the 2025 Dawn K. McDowell Memorial Scholarship recipient. The scholarship is made possible thanks to generous contributions from Dawn McDowell’s family and the Minnesota chapter.
Lori Wiggins, Superintendent, Roland (Okla.) Public Schools, has been named the 2025 Don Bagin Memorial Scholarship recipient. The scholarship is made possible by the generous contributions of his family and by NSPRA members in his memory.
Erin Rocheleau, Communications Specialist, Maple Run Unified School District, Saint Albans, Vt., has been named the 2025 Pat Jackson Seminar Scholarship recipient. The scholarship is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and is made possible by the generous donations of NSPRA members in his memory.
Chloe Bachman, Digital Media Coordinator, Bloomfield Hills Schools, Whitelake, Mich., has been named the recipient of the 2025 Executive Board’s Seminar Scholarship. This scholarship is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and is made possible thanks to a generous donation by the NSPRA Executive Director on behalf of the Executive Board.
Jennifer Jones, communications assistant at Homewood-Flossmoor (Ill.) High School, has been named the 2025 Barry Gaskins Mentor Legacy Scholarship recipient. This year's recipient was selected by the 2024 Barry Gaskins Mentor Legacy Award Recipient, Carla Erdey, APR.
Ashlee Meredith, Technology Trainer/Digital Content Creator, New Kent County (Va.) Public Schools, has been named the recipient of the 2025 Leaders Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is made possible thanks to generous contributions from family and friends of former NSPRA leaders Nora Carr, APR, Joe Krumm, APR, Nick Goble, Phil Toman and Roy Wilson.
Connie Le, Director of Technology, Partnerships, Outreach and Special Projects, Teaneck (N.J.) Public School District, has been named the recipient of the 2025 Rich and Carolyn Bagin Scholarship. This scholarship is made possible by generous donations from the Bagin family, their friends and NSPRA members and past leaders.
Dimitra Trejo, Director of PR and Marketing, Mission (Texas) Consolidated Independent School District and Peyton Dufour, Coordinator of Communications, Family and Community Engagement, DeSoto Parish Schools, Stonewall, La., have been named the 2025 NSPRA Foundation Seminar Scholarship recipients.
Kayla Choate, Executive Director of Communications, Waukee (Iowa) Community School District and Nancy Raskauskas-Coons, Communications Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to School Board of Directors, Brookings-Harbor (Ore.) School District, have been named the recipients of the 2025 #K12PRChat Seminar Scholarship. These scholarships are made possible by possible by the donations of NSPRA members who purchased ROAD2NSPRA T-Shirts at past Seminars.
