Changes Made to NSPRA Executive Board Membership

Author: Anonym/Thursday, September 11, 2025/Categories: News

The National School Public Relations Association is governed by a 13-member Executive Board of elected and appointed association members. That makeup is changing today because the outgoing president-elect is no longer on the Executive Board.

In alignment with NSPRA Bylaws Article IV and Policy 205.012, the recently elected NSPRA president-elect for 2025-26, Kelly Wachel, APR, will immediately assume the office of president on Oct. 1, 2025, to fill out the unexpired term and shall continue to serve as president for the full term to which she was elected that would have begun on Oct. 1, 2026.

“As the leader in school communications, NSPRA will continue to deliver on its mission to provide unwavering support for its members and school communication professionals throughout the country,” said outgoing NSPRA President Heidi Vega, APR.

The office of president-elect, having been vacated due to succession, will remain unfilled for 2025-26.

Association members with feedback may share comments with the full Executive Board at board@nspra.org.
