NSPRA’s 35 Under 35 Program

NSPRA 35 Under 35The face of NSPRA is changing. Many of the new leaders in our profession are young people who are proving that strategic school communication is timeless and translates easily to this next generation of NSPRA’s Leaders in School Communication.

The program recognizes young professional members who are making a difference for their school districts or education-related employers. Members are nominated every other year for consideration.

Nominations for the 2018-19 program are now closed.

Criteria for Nomination

The criteria to be eligible to be nominated as a member of the 35 Under 35 is straightforward:

  • Nominees must be age 35 or younger as of the nomination deadline (August 1, 2018);
  • Nominees must have worked in school public relations for at least one year;
  • Nominees must be a professional member of NSPRA;

Members of the 35 Under 35 classes have contributed to NSPRA in various helpful ways. Many serve, plan to serve, or have served as chapter officers. Their insight is invaluable in keeping NSPRA on the forefront of school public relations.

After the nomination period is closed, nominees are invited to submit a brief bio and their membership will be confirmed. Once all of these profiles have been submitted, judges choose the next 35 Under 35 class based on outstanding responses. Once selected, the honorees are notified. Each honoree is featured in NSPRA This Week. Additionally, they will receive a discount to the 2019 Seminar in Washington, D.C.
