Each year, the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) celebrates School Communicators Day on the second Friday in May in recognition of the incredibly valuable work of school public relations professionals. In 2025, School Communicators Day is Friday, May 9.
This year, in addition to celebrating our members and school communicators, NSPRA is also using School Communicators Day as an opportunity to continue providing district leaders and education professionals with further insights on the role of school communicators.
This spring, NSPRA is reaching out to superintendents across the country with resources, reports and more to help them learn more about school communicators and your immeasurable value to your school system and communities.
We know school communicators don’t always take time to celebrate themselves—but you deserve it. Take a moment to explore a few fun ways to join in the spirit of School Communicators Day!
Below, hear from NSPRA President Heidi Vega, APR, as she wishes school communicators everywhere a happy School Communicators Day!
And, check out messages from superintendents and education leaders from across the country thanking school communication professionals for their incredibly valuable work.
