Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how school communicators brainstorm, write, organize, refine, and share information. While many professionals have experimented with AI tools, fewer have had opportunities to actively practice using them in realistic communication scenarios with guidance and support.

The AI & Communications Studio is an immersive, hands-on learning experience designed to help school communicators build practical skills inside today’s leading AI platforms. Through guided exercises, live demonstrations, and real communication tasks, participants will explore how different AI tools can support writing, planning, editing, organization, and content development workflows.

Each module focuses on a different AI platform and its strengths within school communication work. Participants will actively work inside the tools during sessions while exploring practical strategies for maintaining accuracy, trust, and authentic district voice.

This Studio is designed for communicators who want to move beyond curiosity and begin building real confidence using AI in day-to-day communication work.

Module 1: Wednesday, June 9, 2027 (2 - 3:30 p.m. ET, Virtual): ChatGPT for Everyday Communication Workflows

ChatGPT can support a wide range of everyday communication tasks, from drafting and editing to brainstorming and repurposing content across platforms. This module focuses on practical, real-world communication scenarios school communicators regularly encounter. Participants will actively work inside ChatGPT while exploring prompting strategies, workflow approaches, and editing techniques that support more efficient communication work without sacrificing quality or authenticity.

Module 2: Wednesday, June 16, 2027 (2 - 3:30 p.m. ET, Virtual): Gemini for Research, Organization, and Information Management

School communicators often manage large amounts of information, from board documents and meeting notes to reports, planning materials, and feedback. This module focuses on using Gemini to help organize, summarize, synthesize, and manage information more efficiently. Participants will actively work inside Gemini while exploring practical ways AI can support preparation, research, organization, and communication planning workflows.

Module 3: Wednesday, June 23, 2027 (2 - 3:30 p.m. ET, Virtual): Claude for Refinement, Tone, and Long-Form Communication

Claude has evolved beyond a writing assistant. Increasingly, communicators are using it to create custom tools, automate workflows, organize information, and solve communication challenges without requiring coding expertise. In this hands-on session, participants will explore how Claude can be used to build practical communication solutions that save time, streamline work, and support district goals.
