PR Essentials: Tools, Tips & Takeaways

Module Overview:

In this fast-paced, high-energy session, participants will hear from a series of expert school PR practitioners sharing tactical, actionable tips on critical skill areas. Instead of rotating breakout rooms, all presentations will occur in the main Zoom room, recorded for later reference. Each presenter will offer a 10–15 minute spotlight segment on their topic, highlighting must-know insights, key tools, and advice for new pros.

After the presentations, time will be reserved for a facilitated peer discussion and capstone support.

Module-Level Learning Objectives:

By the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  • Connect with seasoned school PR professionals and peers to explore real-world strategies.
  • Identify their own strengths and areas for growth in key tactical areas, including media relations, visual storytelling, social media, graphic design, and website management.
  • Collect practical tips, tools, and resources to apply immediately in their daily work.
  • Take first steps toward building a personalized professional growth plan.
