Statements Against Violence Toward Asian Americans

The National School Public Relations Association condemns the recent wave of violence against Asian Americans in communities throughout the United States. These events have had a devastating impact on those directly affected by them as well as on the wider Asian American community, which includes students, families and staff in many school districts. To support districts in communicating on this issue, NSPRA is gathering examples of school communications on this difficult topic.

Following are statements released by school districts expressing their stances against racism and violence toward Asian Americans. These examples are provided to assist school PR professionals in communicating their districts' viewpoints to employees, families, students and the wider community. To share your statement with NSPRA, please email it to editorial@nspra.org for consideration as a possible example.
