NSPRA National Seminar: Frequently Asked Questions

Registration Refunds

Will NSPRA reimburse the full registration fee that I paid?

Yes, NSPRA will offer you the following options:

  • Receive a full refund on your 2020 Seminar registration;
  • Receive a credit voucher for the 2021 Seminar (July 11-14, 2021 in New Orleans, LA);
  • Change your registration fee into a donation to the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education, which provides Seminar scholarships; or
  • Apply the funds to registration for an alternative virtual professional program this summer.

When can I request a full registration refund, credit voucher or alternative virtual professional program?

You can make the request at any time, but NSPRA will begin processing refunds, credit vouchers and foundation donations on May 18, 2020. Please email Marian Ceribo, NSPRA office administrative assistant, at mceribo@nspra.org to submit your request.

Will my registration reimbursement come as a check or show up on my credit card statement?

If you paid via check, the reimbursement will be mailed to you within 5 to 7 business days. If you registered online, paid via credit card and paid after January 31, the reimbursement will appear on your credit card statement. If you registered before January 31 by credit card, you will be sent a check for your refund following credit card industry protocols. Please note that once your refund is processed, it will take 5-10 business days for it to post to your account. You will receive a confirmation from tjones@nspra.org once your refund is processed. We ask for your patience and cooperation as our staff works to process a large volume of refunds.

Hotel Reservation and Airfare

Will NSPRA help with fees associated with the cancellation of my travel and hotel reservations?

No, NSPRA is not responsible for fees associated with canceling transportation (e.g. airfare) or accommodations. Most providers have made special provisions to address COVID-19 related issues. Please contact your travel providers directly.

If you made your hotel reservations in the NSPRA group room block at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel, Drury Inn St. Louis at Union Station or Pear Tree Inn St. Louis near Union Station, please refer to your confirmation message for information about how to cancel your reservation. It is your responsibility to cancel the reservation. Should you have any questions about your reservation, please contact the hotels directly.

Virtual Professional Development Program

If a virtual professional program is planned, when will the dates and registration information be announced?

NSPRA is exploring alternatives for offering content virtually. At the moment, we are unsure on when exactly we will have more information to share. We will announce our plans as soon as they come together.

I am an award winner. How will changing to a virtual Seminar affect me?

NSPRA is exploring virtual opportunities to recognize the 2020 award winners who would have been honored during the National Seminar in St. Louis. More details will be announced later.

I am a sponsor or exhibitor. How will changing to a virtual Seminar affect me, and how can I stay connected to NSPRA?

We are looking forward to you being a part of our virtual professional development program. We will contact you once more information is available.
