COVID-19 Safety Questions

What are the safety measures being taken due to COVID-19?

Do I need to wear a mask while attending in-person Seminar sessions and other public events?

  • It depends on your vaccination status. If you are fully vaccinated, you are no longer required to wear a mask. Unvaccinated individuals should continue to wear masks. Additionally, some businesses or restaurants may require masks. Currently, masks are required for all in New Orleans city government facilities and hospitals and on federally regulated transportation.

Will NSPRA provide masks at the in-person Seminar?

Will I need to stay 6 feet apart from others?

How will NSPRA monitor in-person Seminar attendees for COVID-19?

  • All Seminar attendees are responsible for monitoring their own health. NSPRA asks that all in-person Seminar attendees who start to feel sick or to display COVID-19 symptoms:
    • Remain in their hotel rooms and
    • Notify the NSPRA office administrative assistant, Marian Ceribo, at mceribo@nspra.org
  • All registrants must acknowledge their understanding of this requirement during the registration process.

Do I have to sign a COVID-19 waiver to attend the Seminar in person?

  • Yes, NSPRA is requiring all registrants to sign a COVID-19 waiver stipulating that they will abide by all requirements to reduce the transmission of COVID-19; that they are not experiencing, or have not previously within the past 14 days experienced, any symptoms associated with COVID-19; and that they will self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.

Will there be sanitizer or hand-washing stations available?

What happens if someone develops COVID-19 symptoms during the Seminar?

  • NSPRA asks that all in-person Seminar attendees who start to feel sick or to display COVID-19 symptoms remain in their hotel rooms and notify the NSPRA office administrative assistant, Marian Ceribo, at mceribo@nspra.org. NSPRA will help that person with next steps.

Will NSPRA notify all attendees if an attendee tests positive for COVID-19 during the Seminar?

  • Yes, NSPRA will send an alert to all attendees if an attendee tests positive for COVID-19 during the event.

Do I have to show evidence of a negative COVID-19 test to attend the Seminar in person?

  • No, NSPRA is not requiring a current COVID-19 testing certificate to attend the Seminar. However, NSPRA is requiring all registrants to sign a COVID-19 waiver stipulating that they will abide by all requirements to reduce the transmission of COVID-19; that they are not experiencing, or have not previously within the past 14 days experienced, any symptoms associated with COVID-19; and that they will self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.

Since room capacities will be limited due to social distancing restrictions, will I have access to the virtual Seminar if a particular session is full?

  • Yes, much of the in-person Seminar content will be available in the virtual experience. If an in-person session is full due to capacity restrictions, NSPRA will ask additional attendees to participate in the virtual offerings.

Will there be daily health checks?

  • NSPRA will not be conducting daily health checks. However, please notify the NSPRA office administrative assistant, Marian Ceribo, at mceribo@nspra.org if you feel sick or start to display any symptoms. We ask that you stay in your hotel room if this should happen.
