New Orleans Seminar Scholarship Recipients Selected

Claren McLaughlin,(pictured below left), marketing & pr specialist, Moses Lake (Wash.) School District and Meagan Dorsey, (pictured below right), public relations/information officer, Dothan (Ala.) City Schools, have been named the 2021 NSPRA Foundation Seminar Scholarship recipients. These NSPRA scholarships are provided through the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education.

Torrie Osbon (pictured below), pr director, Metcalf County Schools, Edmonton, Ky., and has been named the recipient of the 2021 Armistead New Professional Scholarship. This scholarship provides a registration to both the National Seminar and the New Professionals Pre-Seminar Workshop. It is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and is made possible by the personal sponsorship of NSPRA Past President Lew Armistead, APR, and his wife Joan.

Kevin Smith (pictured below), school community relations coordinator, Transylvania County Schools, Brevard, N.C., has been named the 2021 Dawn K. McDowell Memorial Scholarship recipient. The scholarship is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and is made possible thanks to generous contributions from Dawn McDowell’s family and our Minnesota chapter.

Mitzi Clayton (pictured below), parental involvement & information liaison, Eufaula (Ala.) City Schools, has been named the 2021 Don Bagin Memorial Scholarship recipient. The scholarship is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and was made possible by the generous contributions of his family and by NSPRA members in his memory.

Stacy Jennings (pictured below), director of communications, Savannah-Chatham County Public School System , Savannah, Ga., has been named the 2021 Pat Jackson Seminar Scholarship recipient. The scholarship is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and was made possible by the generous donations of NSPRA members in his memory.

George Sipple  (pictured below), marketing/pr specialist, Novi (Mich.) Community School District, has been named the recipient of the 2021 Executive Board’s Seminar Scholarship. This scholarship is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and was made possible by the personal donation of  NSPRA Executive Director Barbara M. Hunter, APR.

Jason Wheeler  (pictured below),community information specialist, Flagler County School District, Bunnell, Fla., has been named the recipient of the 2021 Leadership Memorial Seminar Scholarship. This scholarship is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and was made possible by the generous donations of NSPRA members in memory of NSPRA Past President Joe Krumm, APR.

Claudia Campos,(pictured on the left), public relations specialist, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD, Pharr, Texas and Kristin Boyd Edwards, (pictured on the right), communications director, Reading (Pa.) School District, have been named the recipients of the the 2021 #K12PRChat Seminar Scholarship recipients. These NSPRA scholarships are administered by the Foundation and was made possible by the donations of NSPRA members who purchased Road2NSPRA T-Shirts and through sponsorships and donations toward the #K12PRFit 5K.
