Nearly 1,000 School PR Professionals Learn, Network at NSPRA's National Seminar

More than 950 school public relations professionals and superintendents from across the U.S. and Canada attended the 65th Annual National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) Seminar in Anaheim, Calif. from July 15-18.

This year, attendees “proved the value of public education” with fellow colleagues who are dedicated to responding to today’s critical education issues. In addition to the 90-plus skill sessions, action labs and special sessions offered the opportunity to go in-depth on topics including equity and diversity, speechwriting and crisis communication.

Keynote speakers Scott Stratten (@unmarketing) and Dr. Rick Rigsby (@DrRickRigsby) delivered wisdom, humor and their unique perspectives on storytelling and leadership.

In addition to trading tips and ideas and providing myriad opportunities to network with colleagues who truly understand the profession, the Seminar is also a time for top school PR professionals and superintendents to be recognized.

The 2018 Gold Medallion Award winners, who represent superior education public relations programs, projects and campaigns, were honored, along with:
