Learning and Liberty Legacy Leaders Nominations Due June 1

Is there an NSPRA colleague or leader who holds a special place in your heart for helping you to grow and advance professionally and personally? Such unsung heroes generously share their knowledge, skills, expertise, advice and time unselfishly, for the simple reward of seeing a colleague succeed.

Through the Learning and Liberty Legacy Leaders recognition, NSPRA members and chapters can recognize these individuals for their positive impact on colleagues’ careers and tireless work behind the scenes on behalf of education and improved communication.

Those honored as Learning and Liberty Legacy Leaders will receive a special certificate and recognition on the NSPRA website as well as in the member recognitions during the Annual Meeting at the NSPRA National Seminar. Nominate a colleague today!

Chapter Reports Due June 24

Chapter reports are due to NSPRA Regional Vice Presidents on Monday, June 24. Submitted reports will be featured among the regional chapter reports posted online as a resource for you and your colleagues.

Review other important deadlines for chapters in 2018-19.

Arrive Early for Leaders' Meeting at 2019 National Seminar

Chapter officers, as well as anyone interested in assuming a leadership position at the chapter or national level, are encouraged to arrive at the 2019 National Seminar in time to attend the Leaders' Meeting on Sunday, July 14, at 8 a.m.

During the Leaders' Meeting, attendees will interact, network and learn about chapter best practices as well as NSPRA's key projects and initiatives. Chapter officers also will receive important planning information; review key deadlines and responsibilities; explore practical ways to position chapters as go-to, state-level sources for professional support and networking; and meet with NSPRA Regional Vice Presidents to discuss chapter issues and concerns. Thank you to everyone who participated in the recent chapter leaders survey, which will help NSPRA and President-elect Kelly Avants, APR, plan for this meeting.

TIP: If you haven't registered for the Seminar yet, be sure to do so by Friday, May 17, to qualify for the discounted early bird rate.

See Your Chapter Events on NSPRA.org

Post your chapter’s upcoming conferences and events at www.nspra.org/chapter-events, and NSPRA will help spread the word. Then check back throughout the year to explore other chapters’ speakers, programs and activities for ideas that may work for your chapter, too.
