Plan Now to Arrive Early for Leaders' Meeting at NSPRA 2020

All chapter officers are invited and encouraged to attend the annual Leaders' Meeting during the NSPRA 2020 National Seminar on Sunday, July 12, from 8-11:45 a.m. at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri.

At the Leaders’ Meeting, officers can begin their Seminar experience by connecting with national colleagues, sharing ideas and challenges, enjoying light refreshments and discussing chapter best practices as well as NSPRA's key projects and initiatives.

Seminar registration and the hotel block will open in late December. When making your travel arrangements, plan to arrive in time for this valuable networking opportunity for chapter leaders!

Seminar Tip for Chapters: The call for presentations is now open, so encourage your chapter members to submit session proposals on exciting, innovative and successful school PR programs, campaigns and initiatives by Friday, Dec. 13.

Membership Lists Rolling In

NSPRA received updated membership lists from 26 out of our 33 chapters in October. Thank you to everyone who submitted their information to tjones@nspra.org. Submitting a membership list is an annual requirement for a chapter to remain in good standing, but it also helps ensure NSPRA has up-to-date contact information for chapter officers.

Public Schools Week 2020:
Sign the Pledge Today

As proud supporters of public education, all chapter officers are asked to sign the Public Schools Week pledge today and to encourage their chapter members to do the same.

Public Schools Week is set for Feb. 24-28, 2020. Find a social media tool kit and other resources for chapters, school districts and individuals to get involved in advocating for their public schools on the PSW website.

Book NSPRA Leaders for Your Next Chapter Meeting

NSPRA President Kelly Avants, APR, and Vice President for Diversity Engagement Heidi Otero are offering to present workshops to NSPRA chapters during the 2019-20 school year. Find out how to book these speakers for your chapter event on the "chapter leader resources" page of the NSPRA website.

Verify Your Chapter Officers’ Contact Information

Over the summer, NSPRA updated its online directory of chapter officers' contact information (available directly at www.nspra.org/officers and from the NSPRA homepage by navigating to About > Chapters > Chapter Officers). Chapter presidents are encouraged to review their chapters’ listings and to email any necessary updates to mbraham@nspra.org and tjones@nspra.org.
