Chapter Challenges Solved:
Sign Up for Free, Virtual Chapter PD

As a chapter officer, you're invited to participate in Chapter Challenges Solved, a new virtual professional development opportunity hosted by the National School Public Relations Association on Friday, March 22, at noon Eastern (11 a.m. Central, 10 a.m. Mountain, 9 a.m. Pacific). Register now for this exclusive webinar offered free to chapter officers.

Find solutions to chapter operations challenges while listening to your colleagues share their stories, lessons learned and best practices on these topics:

  • "Making a smooth transition between old and new treasurers" presented by TNSPRA Treasurer Lydia Glynn
  • "Securing and using sponsor funds" presented by OHSPRA Treasurer Patti Koslo

All NSPRA chapter officers -- presidents, vice presidents, presidents-elect, secretaries, treasurers, executive directors/coordinators -- are invited to participate in this virtual PD opportunity. Registrations are requested by March 20.

Do you have expertise in a chapter operations topic that might benefit your chapter colleagues? If so, email mbraham@nspra.org with your idea for a future Chapter Challenges Solved presentation.

Review Chapter Deadlines in 2018-19

Chapter reports were due to NSPRA Regional Vice Presidents on Monday, Feb. 18. If you missed the deadline, your report may not arrive in time to be shared during the NSPRA Executive Board meeting in March, but you should still submit it. All submitted reports will be featured among the regional chapter reports posted online as a resource for you and your colleagues.

Review other important deadlines for chapters in 2018-19.

NSPRA 2019 National Seminar:
Arrive Early for Leaders' Meeting

Registration is now open for NSPRA's 2019 National Seminar on July 14-17 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. Chapter officers, as well as anyone interested in assuming a leadership position at the chapter or national level, are encouraged to arrive in time to attend the Leaders' Meeting set for Sunday, July 14, from 8 - 11:45 a.m.

During the Leaders' Meeting, attendees will interact, network and learn about chapter best practices as well as NSPRA's key projects and initiatives. Chapter officers also will receive important planning information; review key deadlines and responsibilities; explore practical ways to position chapters as go-to, state-level sources for professional support and networking; and meet with NSPRA Regional Vice Presidents to discuss chapter issues and concerns.

When booking your flight and hotel stay, add some time so you don't miss out on this valuable networking opportunity with your fellow chapter leaders!
