Job Opportunity: Help Shape NSPRA Seminars, Partnerships and Programs

NSPRA is in search of a manager of Seminar, partnerships and programs. The successful candidate will be someone who is highly organized and skilled in relationship-building, conference planning and sales campaigns. The association's collegial and team-focused work environment will ensure professional growth and satisfaction.  

Major duties for the position include the following:

  • Coordinating, managing logistics and implementing NSPRA’s Annual Seminar each July; recruiting and providing customer service duties regarding sponsors and marketplace exhibitors for the annual Seminar; and coordination with the Seminar hotel and maintaining relationships. The Seminar attracts 1,000+ participants for the four-day conference.
  • Coordinating and implementing up to 10 webinars offered as professional development for NSPRA members and others throughout the year. Providing assistance for additional professional development activities throughout the year.
  • Coordinating NSPRA exhibits at two national education conferences each year.
  • Planning and managing the annual Seminar budget revenues and expenses.
  • Identifying and implementing new ways to create corporate partnerships and expand revenues through advertising and visibility opportunities.
  • Coordinating, selling and managing year-round sponsorship opportunities and projects for NSPRA, including advertising sales for two member e-newsletters and 10 webinars.
  • Coordinating and managing Executive Board meeting logistics, transportation and housing for NSPRA’s 12 board members for three board meetings a year.

Desired qualifications in an applicant include the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, special events management or related field
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation
  • 3-5 years of experience in managing large conferences, exhibit and sponsorship sales, and developing partnerships
  • Experience with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google), website editing platforms (e.g., Drupal), Higher Logic platforms (e.g., Community, Informz, Mentor Match) and project management apps/software

This position is based at NSPRA headquarters, 15948 Derwood Road, Rockville, Maryland, but there is an option to telework up to one day a week. The position requires travel out of state at least twice a year, including for a week during the NSPRA National Seminar.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000, based on the successful candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
