NSPRA is working closely with New Orleans tourism officials and the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel as well as following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to promote healthy behaviors in public gatherings. NSPRA will be implementing several strategies for the in-person event to maintain healthy operations.

Seminar Safety Measures

NSPRA will be taking the following measures to promote the health and safety of Seminar attendees:

  • Collaborating with the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel to follow local safety protocols for room set-ups, meeting room capacities, and food and beverage service.
  • Creating and installing physical barriers, such as sneeze guards, in areas where it’s difficult for individuals to remain at least 6ft apart.
  • Creating a plan to use multiple entrances and exits to discourage crowding in waiting areas.
  • Ensuring limited opportunities for both staff and attendees to share objects.
  • Helping to eliminate lines and encourage people to stay at least 6 feet apart through signage and other visual cues.
  • Supporting the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel's rigorous schedule for increased cleaning and disinfection
  • Communicating regularly with our attendees, sponsors and partners regarding COVID-19 safety measures.

NSPRA asks all in-person Seminar attendees, including registrants, sponsors, exhibitors and staff to:

  • Wear a mask or other appropriate face covering while in public.
  • Practice social distancing.
  • Wash hands often.
  • If you start to feel sick or to display COVID-19 symptoms, remain in your hotel room and notify the NSPRA office administrative assistant, Marian Ceribo, at mceribo@nspra.org.

New Orleans Safety Measures and COVID-19

New Orleans continues to move through a phased reopening plan. Wearing a mask or face covering is mandatory statewide when out in public. Individuals must continue to practice social distancing and wash hands often. Currently, there are no travel restrictions or quarantine requirements for travelers entering the state of Louisiana.
