Cathy Kedjidjian
Vice President at Large for Communication Technology & Innovation

Cathy Kedjidjian ​is director of communications and strategic planning for Glenview School District 34, an elementary district in suburban Chicago. She previously was coordinator of communications and community relations for Deerfield Public Schools District 109. She created that role in 2010, and launched the district’s now widespread social media presence, #engage109. Prior to working in school communications, Cathy was a freelance communication consultant for educational, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations, and was the communication director for a successful political campaign.

Cathy has served in several roles for the Illinois School Public Relations Association (INSPRA), including as president in 2016-2017. Her leadership at INSPRA focused on improving connections among members and with other educational leaders. She oversaw the revamp of INSPRA’s website, which includes a robust “Members Need Help,” area. Cathy also has worked to increase partnerships with other state educational associations, including the Illinois Association of School Boards and the Illinois Association of School Business Officials. She has presented at local and regional seminars and at the NSPRA Seminar on internal communications and recruiting, leveraging partnerships for greater communication impact, and Twitter basics.
