2019 Seminar Scholarship Recipients Announced

Tracy Lynn Rudnick, public information officer, 27J (Colo.) Schools, and Ana Munguia, community connections manager, Pasco (Wash.) School District, have been named the 2019 NSPRA Foundation Seminar Scholarship recipients (pictured below from left). These NSPRA scholarships are provided through the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education.

Jessica Johnston (pictured below), director of communications and community relations, Brenham (Texas) Independent School District, has been named the recipient of the 2019 Armistead New Professional Scholarship. This scholarship provides a registration to both the National Seminar and the New Professionals Pre-Seminar Workshop. It is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and is made possible by the personal sponsorship of NSPRA Past President Lew Armistead, APR, and his wife Joan.

Kaitlyn Andrey (pictured below), communications and development specialist, North Penn (Pa.) School District, has been named the 2019 Dawn K. McDowell Memorial Scholarship recipient. The scholarship is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and is made possible thanks to generous contributions from Dawn McDowell’s family and our Minnesota chapter.

Deanne Perez (pictured below), executive assistant to the superintendent, Manassas Park (Va.) City Schools, has been named the 2019 Don Bagin Memorial Scholarship recipient. The scholarship is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and was made possible by the generous contributions of his family and by NSPRA members in his memory.

Kristina Bowman (pictured below), support services communications and public engagement coordinator, Lake Washington (Wash.) School District, has been named the 2019 Pat Jackson Seminar Scholarship recipient. The scholarship is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and was made possible by the generous donations of NSPRA members in his memory.

Marie Denson (pictured below), communications director, Tooele (Utah) County School District, has been named the recipient of the 2019 Executive Board’s Seminar Scholarship. This scholarship is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and was made possible by the personal donation of NSPRA Executive Director Rich Bagin, APR.

Kathleen Tuck (pictured below), director of communications and community relations, Nampa (Idaho) School District, has been named the recipient of the 2019 Joe Krumm Leadership Memorial Seminar Scholarship. This scholarship is administered by the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education and was made possible by the generous donations of NSPRA members in memory of NSPRA Past President Joe Krumm, APR.

Kathleen Tuck

Erin Helm (pictured below), communications and marketing director, Kyrene (Ariz.) School District, is the 2019 Barry Gaskins Mentor Legacy Scholarship recipient. She was designated to receive the scholarship by last year’s recipient of the Barry Gaskins Mentor Legacy Award, Terry Locke.
