I am curious how other districts are handling the Presidential address to children on September 14th. This was an issue for our district last year and we are brainstorming how we want to handle it this year.
We decided to handle it the same as last year: We are making it available for every teacher to show students, if it fits into the lesson plans for the day. Parents may opt out if their children's teacher plans to show the address. In my communication about it, I will explain this and give the White House URL so that parents may watch it with their children if the teacher does not show it.
